A great team
Eugene Timbers FC is guided by a diverse and committed board:
I choose to serve on the board of ETFC to help make the club an organization that continues to provide excellent competitive soccer along with top coaching and the develop of great soccer players and kids in the Willamette valley. Shawn’s daughter Hannah plays on the ETFC 99 Athletica Black.
- Joshua Kimball, Treasurer
I have been a board member since 2014, and a team manager for Cypress Black 01 girls since 2013. I serve on the board and as team manager because I believe it’s important to give back to the club that has given so much to my daughter. I believe in providing an opportunity for kids to play soccer at the highest levels, and making that opportunity available for kids regardless of their financial situation. Thank you for allowing me to serve as one of your board members – if you ever have any questions about what the board is doing, please don’t hesitate to ask me or anyone else on the board.
Soccer has been such an important part of my life. From my own initial team sport experiences, to coaching my boys, and now keeping me (somewhat) fit. ETFC has delivered an amazing soccer experience for our kids and I’m excited to do what I can to help the club continue to provide this for kids in Eugene and Springfield.
I joined the ETFC board for many reasons however, I am particularly interested in the Scholarship program. In my day job, I see players with a great deal of talent and love of the game but not necessarily the resources to follow their dreams. I am interested in bringing quality soccer training to players who may not have the resources to do so on their own.
I joined the board to better understand how the club operates and to collaborate with other board members to help support fundraising efforts.
Our daughter Ruby has been playing soccer with ETFC since she was 8. We never expected the impact her teams and coaches would have, and our family is grateful for the effort and experience in the club. It’s my pleasure to help as I can, to bring this experience to other families.
- Laura Weiss, Board MemberI joined the Board to be able to provide interested youth and their families with the opportunity to play competitive soccer and to better understand how the Board functions. I’m especially interested in helping to bridge any language/cultural/financial barriers that may exist for our families.
- Jody Woods, Registrar
