Boys Select Program
This program offers our most talented, ambitious, hard working players an opportunity to train in addition to their EMFC club team and prepare themselves for training opportunities with the Lane United FC first team. We invite players born in 2008-2004 to the Select tryouts on May 7, 2022. Tryouts for EMFC players are free. Tryouts for non-EMFC players is $25.
Many of our top players often have to leave Eugene and travel large distances to challenge themselves. This local opportunity will allow our top players to get additional training, seek out challenges, and offer some more game opportunities for them. In addition, training with the Lane United FC’s first team is an option during season.

Tryouts
Players need to register online for tryouts.
- Lane United EMFC Select Academy Boys will tryout Saturday May 7, 2022
- Lane United EMFC Select Academy Boys will tryout for a 2nd session on Monday May 16, 2022
- Time: 6:15-8:00pm
- Location: Civic Park
Schedule
A pool of 20-25 players will be selected and they train once a week in May, June and July. This year, we will participate with the Select boys’ side in a USL Pilot project to get 4 games in over the summer with other Oregon USL academies. The practice and game schedule will try to avoid any conflicts with their club teams. Players will then return to their respective high schools in the fall. From November through February, these players will continue to train once a week in addition to their club team.
