ETFC recruits soccer referees

The Eugene Timbers FC recognizes that competent referees contribute to a positive player experience. The Club further recognizes through refereeing, many other youths can participate in and enjoy this game. As a result, the Club wants to help recruit, train and retain referees. In order to become a referee you need to have the passion for the game, you need to be fit, and you need to get certified. In becoming a referee you have to be 13 years and older and the best referees typically play the game as well. Please check out the upcoming Grade 8 clinic and more information about getting certified here.

Although we remain an independent club, we share the Timbers Alliance badge and have agreed to work with other Timbers Alliance clubs (Westside Timbers, Eastside Timbers, Washington Timbers, Bend Timbers, and Rogue Valley Timbers) to create new opportunities for our players to train and compete. Please read more about the opportunities here in a letter from the Director of Coaching. Our President of the Board of Directors, Derek Johnson, shares his thoughts on this exciting new step.
