Club Programs

Eugene Timbers Futbol Club (ETFC) provides programs for boys and girls soccer players from age 4-18. The introduction to soccer happens in the Mini Metro program for 4 and 5 year olds. The Little Timbers program for players age 6-10 (1st to 4th grade) continues the soccer education. For 3rd and 4th grade players who are more committed and want to join a year round program, they can enter the Development Academy program. At the end of the 4th grade players can tryout for a U11 competitive team. Every year in May ETFC offers tryouts for its U11-14 teams and programs. After the 8th grade the calendar for soccer changes slighlty. Tryouts for U15-18 teams and programs are in the summer typically in early August. However, the newly formed teams will not begin to practice until the end of the school high school soccer season which in Oregon runs in the fall.

Mini Metros Program

Please contact Erica Jensen with questions about the Mini Metro program.

For ages 4-6

The Eugene Timbers Fútbol Club provides a number of opportunities for very young players to develop a love for the game of soccer.

During these early years, ETFC focuses its program on teaching basic technical soccer skills to improve each individual player. Players will apply these skills in small sided games to enhance their understanding and their passion for the game of soccer.

The Mini Metros program offers a 5 week spring and fall training program once a week to introduce young players to the game. In the summer Mini Metros offers a 5 week summer academy and in the winter a similar 5 week academy indoor without games.

Development Academy

For invested 3rd & 4th graders

Overseen by Development Academy Director Pete Peterson, the Development Academy is our development and soccer training program for focused 3rd and 4th grade boys and girls (U9/U10 players). These youngsters display a desire for an elevated level of commitment and competition to their soccer. The Academy may also be open to younger players who meet the demands and standards of our program. Our intent is to provide a competitive but not exclusive environment for these developing youngsters. The annual calendar is organized in 4 training phases (summer, fall, winter, and spring). Outdoor league play takes place in fall and spring in our Valley Academy League against teams from Salem, Corvallis, Eugene, Bend and surrounding areas.
